Car Hire Maracaibo Airport
La Chinita International Airport is located 15km from the centre of Maracaibo, Venezuela. It opened in November 1969 as a gateway to western Venezuela and to relieve congestion at Simón Bolívar International Airport at Caracas, which handles about 90% of the country's international flights. Caracas is the most popular destination, but Maracaibo also serves other domestic airports, as well as such international destinations as Miami and Aruba.
Maracaibo is a city on the western shore of the strait that connects Lake Maracaibo to the Gulf of Venezuela. The second-largest city in the country after Caracas, and the capital of the state of Zulia, Maracaibo has about 1.5 million residents and is nicknamed La Tierra del Sol Amada ("The Beloved Land of the Sun").
