Isle of Man Airport, also known as Ronaldsway Airport (Purt Aer Vannin, in Manx), is in the south of the island at Ronaldsway near Castletown and lies 11km southwest of Douglas. It is no more than an hour's drive from anywhere on the island. It operates scheduled services to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Channel Islands.

The Manx Music Festival (officially The Manx Competitive Music, Speech and Dance Festival), or "The Guild" as it is still affectionately known, takes place annually in April at the Villa Marina on Douglas promenade. Established in 1892, The Guild builds on the Isle of Manâ€™s strong musical traditions, culminating in a contest for the Cleveland, Ohio (USA) Manx Society's Gold Medal.
Isle of Man Walking Festival
Held in May, the Isle of Man Walking festival offers five days of walks, which vary in difficulty according walkers's abilities. Experienced guides lead the walks, which range from the Island's most difficult route - the 95-mile coastal Raad Ny Foillan - to the eight mile walk from Port St Mary to Port Erin.
