Car Hire Costa Calma, Fuerteventura
Costa Calma is a purpose-built holiday town on the Canarian island of Fuerteventura, Spain. It belongs to the municipality of Pájara, and is home to about 6,000 people. The town is set on the Jandia peninsula in the island's southern section. Costa Calma developed as a tourist hub in the 1970s. It encompasses Sotavento Beach, a favourite site for windsurfing competitions.
Fuerteventura is the perfect destination for traditional family beach holiday. Miles of golden beaches and a fairly consistent wind means that conditions are perfect for surfing and windsurfing, but there are sufficient sheltered spots to make sunbathing pleasant. Rainfall is minimal, sun is almost ever-present, and the island is not as commercially developed as some of the other Canary Islands.
