About East London Airport
East London Airport lies 15.6km west of East London, a city in the Eastern Cape province on South Africa's southeast coast. It is a small airport that caters for about 650,000 passengers annually. The airport processes between 20 and 30 flights daily, and performs a pivotal role for the Eastern Cape's economy.
About the Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape offers an extremely varied landscape. The arid Karoo area in the western interior contrasts with the lush, green lands of the east, and the entire cape is bound by 800km of pristine coastline. Enjoy exceptional beaches and look forward to seeing the Big Five game animals in a malaria-free setting.
Attractions include the Addo Elephant National Park, 743 km2 of habitat for 170 elephants, 400 Cape buffalo and 21 black rhino of the extremely rare Kenyan sub-species. You will also find South Africa's only snow skiing resort, Tiffindell, on the slopes of Ben Macdhui (3,001m), the highest mountain peak in the Eastern Cape. Jeffreys Bay is famous among surfers for its "supertubes," offering wild coastline and stunning sub-tropical rainforest.
