Car Hire Belgrade Airport
Hire a car at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and you are 20km west of central Belgrade, in the Surčin Municipality. Formerly known as Belgrade International Airport, the airport was renamed in 2006 in honour of Serbian scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla and is the busiest airport in former Yugoslavia. It is a hub for Air Serbia, Serbia's national flag carrier and largest airline. It is also an operating base for Wizz Air.
Belgrade may mean "white city," but the Serbian capital is more colourful than that. Loud and proud, Belgrade is certainly not ranked among Europe's beauties, but its urban energy makes it irresistibly attractive. Witness the clash of old and new in socialist high rises are crammed between Art Deco houses, and relics of the Habsburgs mingle with Ottoman relics. This is where the Sava River meets the Danube (Dunav), serene parkland shoulders gritty sprawl, and old-world culture cedes to futuristic nightlife.
