Car Hire at Milan Linate Airport

Linate Airport is one of Milan's three major airports, together with Malpensa and Orio al Serio. At 7.8 km east southeast of the city, it is the closest airport to Milan, so it is used chiefly for domestic and short-haul international flights. It is named after the small village where it is situated, in the town of Peschiera Borromeo. By far the busiest domestic destination served by Linate is Rome-Fiumicino, with Catania and Naples the next most popular destination in Italy. As regards international airports, London Heathrow tops the list, with Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam numbers two and three.

On arriving in Milan Linate Airport, you will find the car rental desks in the Arrivals area.

About Festivals in Milan

It’s all about the money in Milan, Italy’s commercial hub, so many of its principal festivals are actually trade fairs, with the festive element provided by fringe events and parties. Even so, Milan is often the first port of call for touring bands and DJs en route to Rome or Naples, so you can have a ball with the best of them at the hippest summer festivals. For winter fun , there’s the feast of Sant’Ambrogio, the occasion for intensive Christmas shopping and Milan’s biggest street party.

Traditional festivals tend to revolve around the city’s main churches, particularly the Duomo, whereas most commercial events are staged at the massive Fieramilano site in Rho, in the northwestern suburbs.
