Tallinn Airport or Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, formerly Ülemiste Airport, is the biggest airport in Estonia. The home base of the national airline Estonian Air, Tallinn Airport is located about 4 km from the centre of Tallinn on the eastern shore of Lake Ülemiste. The airport was renamed in honour of the leader of the Estonian independence movement and second President of Estonia, Lennart Meri. The airport processes about 1.8 million passengers annually, with the most popular destinations being Helsinki, Riga, Stockholm, London, and Copenhagen.

Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia, with a population of more than 400,000. It lies on the northern coast, onthe Gulf of Finland, 80 km south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm and west of Saint Petersburg. A fascinating blend of old and new, Tallinn has an old town that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is also included among the world's top 10 digital cities. The city was called Reval from the 13th century until 1917 and again during the Nazi occupation of Estonia from 1941 to 1944.
