About Savannah

The oldest city in Georgia, Savannah attracts millions of visitors every year. They come here primarily for the city's architecture and historic buildings, including the birthplace of Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low, the Georgia Historical Society, and the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences. Downtown Savannah (which is virtually unchanged since its founding by James Oglethorpe) is one of the country's largest National Historic Landmark Districts, encompassing the Savannah Historic District, the Savannah Victorian Historic District, and 22 sweeping squares.
