Departures are from the second floor, and there is a small restaurant on the third floor.
Kan Air, Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Thai Airways, and Thai Smile operate flights to Chiang Mai, Bangkok-Don Mueang, and Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi. Flights to and from Bangkok take about 45 minutes, with some 32 flights handled by the airport daily.
About Khon Kaen
Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, and Ubon Ratchathani are the major Thai cities that make up the so-called Big 4 of Isan. Khon Kaen is also the capital of Khon Kaen Province and the Khon Kaen District. Khon Kaen car hire is the ideal way to discover some exceptional Buddhist temples. On the south side of the city, east of the Friendship Highway, you can enjoy a range of outdoor attractions at Lake Bueng Kaen Nakhon. From a cultural perspective, Khon Kaen National Museum houses a wide range of antiques, precious art pieces, and archaeological finds from the region - some of them dating back to the prehistoric era.
A vibrant commercial centre, Khon Kaen is marketed as a gateway to Indochina and Southern China for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions).
