Thailand Driving Rules & Regulations
In Thailand, you drive on the left and overtake on the right. Keep your driving licence, proof of insurance, and vehicle documentation with you in the car. Seat belts must be worn at all times. Speed limits range from 50 – 60 km/h in suburban streets and 90 – 120 km/h on highways, but the high volume of traffic in urban areas means that your speed will be determined by the general flow of traffic. You'll find further information on Thailand's rules of the road here.
