Driving in Syria
Syria has a fairly good road network and basically all roads lead to Damascus. The country's main route is the M1 which stretches northwards from Damascus to Aleppo and to Jordan to the south. Other major routes include the E5 which connects Aleppo with Ankara and Istanbul, Highway 1 which links Damascus and Beirut and Highway 2 which connects Damascus with Iraq.
