  • My family look for inexpensive deals along with quality service. We like companies performing up to their advertisement, doing what they say they will and so far we are very impressed and happy with NOVA.

Car Hire at Geneva Cointrin Airport

Geneva International Airport, formerly known as Cointrin Airport and officially as Genève Aéroport, is located 4 km northwest of the centre of Geneva in Switzerland. With its northern boundary running along the Swiss-French border, the airport is accessible from both countries. If you are on a flight to or from France, you will not be obliged to enter Swiss customs and immigration controls if you stay in the French sector of the airport.

When you land, you will find the car rental desks in the Arrivals area. See your Nova Car Hire booking confirmation document for details of the exact location and opening hours of your car hire provider. A staff member will lead you to your rental car.

Check out Nova Car Hire at Geneva Airport (French side).

About Geneva

It is possible to drive around Lake Geneva in a day, but there's not much fun in that. Framed by magnificent Alpine scenery and edged by charming villages and sophisticated towns, Lake Geneva (or Lac Leman, as the locals known it) is a Western European wonder perfect for more leisurely exploration in a rental car from Geneva Airport. Evian Les Bains is the one true tourist resort on Lake Geneva, attracting luminaries as diverse as Kings Edward VII and George V of Britain and King Farouk of Egypt to its famously curative thermal spas. Now, Evian is a place to watch how the other half holidays.

Vevey is another delightful town. Lounge on the picturesque waterfront and stroll the town square, where you can drink great coffee and browse the fascinating photo museum and market. The white wines are also exquisite. Lausanne, the second-biggest city on the shores of Lake Geneva (after Geneva), rises and falls over three hills to create a delightful network of sloping streets. City centre shopping is largely pedestrianised, with boutiques and chain stores offering a good mix.
