Cancun International Airport (CUN) caters for an average of 10 million passengers every year, making it Mexico's second busiest airport. It's located about 22km south west of Cancun and has 3 terminals: Terminal 1 is the old oldest terminal and is used for charter flights and freight, Terminal 2 caters for domestic flights as well as some international flights and Terminal 3 (the newest terminal which is situated just south of Terminal 2) caters for international flights only. A free shuttle service operates between the terminals.
Cancun Airport is open 24 hrs a day all year round. You'll find ATMs and currency exchange facilities at each of the international terminals.
