An oasis in the desert, the city state of Kuwait has been drawing visitors for centuries. Ever since the Bedouin started flocking here to escape drought, Kuwait has been a magnet, but nowadays people don’t come in search of a cooling sea breeze. With fine museums, manicured beaches, sumptuous restaurants, and excellent shopping, Kuwait City is an experience that continues to attract visitors in their droves.
Outside Kuwait City, there is a vast expanse of desert, punctuated by the beach resorts scattered along the coast. While in Kuwait City, pay a visit to the Kuwait Towers and admire their stunning blue-green panels. You should also make time for the Scientific Centre, with its Discovery Place, IMAX theatre, and the magnificent intertidal display at the aquarium (the biggest in the Middle East). Then there’s the old souq - a bustling feast for the senses.
