Bologna is located in the Po Valley Region of Northern Italy. This university city is full of medieval and Renaissance architecture and has plenty to see and do. Bologna has two main squares, Piazza Maggiore  (where you'll find the city's visitor information centre) and Piazza del Nettuno.
