Budapest International Airport Terminal 2B
Officially Budapest Franz Liszt International Airport (Liszt Ferenc Nemzetkozi Repuloter Airport), Budapest's principal airport is still known colloquially as Ferihegy - a reference to its former name. Hungary's largest airport, it is located roughly 16km (10 miles) southeast of the centre of Budapest.
Hungary's capital city deserves its nickname of "Paris of the East." It is defined by vibrant cultural atmosphere, an exceptional reputation for classical music, and a lively social scene. Add to that the attraction of its classical architecture and health-giving thermal baths, and you have one of Europe's most charming cities.
Since 1987, Budapest has enjoyed the status of UNESCO World Heritage site, due to its remarkable culture and the architectural attractions of the Buda Castle Quarter and Andrassy Avenue. For ease of navigation, remember that Budapest is generally divided according to Buda (west of the Danube) and Pest (east of the river).
