Thanks so much for your help Deirdre --  I have spread the word about Nova over here.  It's always a good rental experience and the cost is much less than any other I check out.  Have rented in France several times and so better understanding that language!

Just got back from our European trip and I must admit I had some reservations about our vehicle being ready for us when we arrived in France. I was particularly concerned that an automatic vehicle would not be available.

Apart from the fact that there was a 2 hour delay all went well and in fact we were upgraded from a small Citroen sedan to a much bigger Citroen wagon with a wonderful full screen GPS which was a godsend. The hire company also reimbursed the cost of our morning tea while we were waiting for the car. 

Great car and great service and particularly happy there was no extra cost for dropping the vehicle off at a different location some hundreds of kilometers distant.
