Car Hire Coventry Airport
Coventry is situated 153 km northwest of central London, England, 31 km east-south-east of Birmingham. No other city in Britain is further from the coast. Coventry also bears the distinction of being the world's first twin city. It twinned with the Russian city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) during World War II. The city now has additional twinning relationships with Dresden, Lidice, Saint-Étienne and 22 other global cities.
About Coventry Airport
Coventry Airport is located about 6km southeast of Coventry city centre, near the village of Baginton. Launched in 1936 as Baginton Aerodrome, Coventry Airport has been used for general aviation, flight training, and commercial freight and passenger flights, and also served as a World War II fighter airfield. The airport closed briefly in 2009 due to financial problems, but it reopened as a commercial airport in 2010.
