About Split

Split is located in Dalmatia, Croatia, on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea. The second-biggest city in Croatia, after Dubrovnik, it is the biggest city in Dalmatia. It extends over a peninsula, centred on the Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, encompassing several adjacent seaside towns.
