Directions from London Stansted Airport
Getting to and fromLondon Stansted Airport is located 40 miles northeast of the city of London. Leave London by taking the A11 road and follow signs for Ring Road N, and continue for around 3 miles. As you come to Bow Interchange keep in the left hand lane to branch left and at the roundabout take the 1st exit to get onto the A12 (signposted Chelmsford). Stay on the A12 for just over 3 miles then take the underpass of the Green Man Interchange, through Wanstead Tunnel and at the Redbridge Roundabout bear left to follow signs for M11 Motorway. Remain on the M11 following signs for Stansted Airport and after around 23 miles you should exit the motorway at Junction 8A to join the A120. Then follow airport signs to arrive at London Stansted Airport. |

Driving ToTo London city centre: Travel along the M11 and after about 22 miles the motorway will come to an end, so you should keep in the left hand lane to merge onto North Circular Road — A406 (signposted Central London, Docklands). Continue on this road for about 1 mile and on approach to Redbridge Roundabout stay in the left lane and then take the 5th exit to get onto Eastern Avenue —A12, following signs for Central London. Stay on the A12 for over 4 miles and upon reaching the Bow Interchange, branch left and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit to arrive onto the A11 (signposted Central London). Continue on the A11 and follow signs for Westminster, Tower Bridge to arrive in the centre of London after about 5 to 6 miles. To Cardiff (& the west): Continue on the motorway for about 14 miles and then exit by taking Junction 6 and follow signs for the M25 Motorway. Having joined the M25, drive for approximately 30 miles before exiting at Junction 15 to join the M4 Motorway, following signs for The West, Slough. Stay on the M4 and after around 99 miles you will arrive at Junction 20 where you should continue forward, following signs for South Wales. After travelling for about 10 miles you will reach a toll booth, which after another 10 miles leads you to the Brynglas Tunnel. Here, you should branch left onto the A48 (signposted Cardiff E and S) and continue along this road, following signs for Cardiff City Centre. To Brighton (& the south coast): Drive along the M25 (following signs for Gatwick Airport) and after about 19 miles you will reach a toll booth and then continue for another 24 miles before exiting the motorway at Junction 7, following signs for Brighton, Crawley, Gatwick Airport. After about 14 miles the M23 will become the A23 and you should continue on the A23 for about another 20 miles and follow signs for Brighton to take you into the centre of the town. To Birmingham (& the midlands/north): Travel along the A14 (continuing to follow signs for The Midlands) for approximately 60 miles and this road will then join up with the M6 Motorway, following signs for The North West, Birmingham. Stay on the M6 for about 22 miles and then exit the motorway at Junction 6 (signposted Birmingham Central & North East) to join the Aston Expressway — A38. Continue on the A38 and follow signs for City Centre to arrive in the centre of Birmingham city. | ||||||
