Directions to Kings Cross Station, London

Getting to and from Kings Cross Station, London

From Covent Garden, central London, follow signs for Angel until you reach New Oxford Street, A40. Remain on the A40 by following signs for Bank, Angel and when you reach the traffic signals on Bloomsbury Way, go left onto Theobalds Road.

Continue forward on Theobalds Road and you will see signs for Kings Cross, which will take you onto the A5200 and past Eastman Dental Hospital and Royal National Throat, Ear and Nose Hospital. The A5200 then becomes the A501 at Grays Inn Road and as you enter Kings Cross, keep left onto Euston Road to arrive at Kings Cross Station.

To central London:
Leave Kings Cross Station via Euston Street and at St. Pancras Church go left onto Upper Woburn Place, A4200 (Central London Congestion charges apply Mon-Fri 7am to 6.30pm). Continue along the A4200 through Russell Square and onto Southampton Row where you’ll reach a set of traffic lights.

Take a left turn at the traffic lights onto Theobalds Row, A40 and at Cochrane Theatre bear right onto Drake Street. Then go forward onto Procter Street and continue forward onto High Holborn, entering Covent Garden in central London.

To Cardiff (& South Wales):
Leave Kings Cross Station via Euston Street and after passing St. Pancras Church take the right hand lane through the Euston Underpass following signs for the Ring Road. You will then pass Madame Tussauds on the right and just after this you’ll reach traffic lights where you branch left onto Old Maryleborne Road.

At the next traffic lights, go left onto Edgware Road following signs for Marble Arch and passing through Paddington and Bayswater. At Marble Arch, turn left and then keep in the right hand lane and then keep left to follow signs for the Ring Road S, Westminster. Next, you will pass the Grosvenor House Hotel and then take a left onto Hyde Park Corner, A4.

Stay on the A4 road and after 5 miles this will become the M4 Motorway and you should travel along this motorway (all the while following signs for The West) for approximately 90 miles when you will reach Junction 20. Here, continue forward on the M4 by following signs for South Wales and then continue forward again at Junction 21 (again following signs for South Wales).

After approximately 20 miles you’ll come to the Brynglas Tunnel where you should branch left onto the A48 (signposted Cardiff E and S) and continue along this road, following signs for Cardiff City Centre.

To Southampton (& the south coast):
From Kings Cross Station take Euston Street and after passing St. Pancras Church take the right hand lane through the Euston Underpass following signs for the Ring Road. You will then pass Madame Tussauds on the right and just after this you’ll reach traffic lights where you branch left onto Old Maryleborne Road.

At the next traffic lights, go left onto Edgware Road following signs for Marble Arch and passing through Paddington and Bayswater. At Marble Arch, turn left and then keep in the right hand lane and then keep left to follow signs for the Ring Road S, Westminster. Next, you will pass the Grosvenor House Hotel and then take a left onto Hyde Park Corner, A4.

The A4 road will become the M4 Motorway and you should travel along this motorway (all the while following signs for The West) for approximately 10 miles when you will reach Junction 4b. Keep in the left hand lane to follow signs for Gatwick Airport and this will take you onto the M25 Motorway.

Continue along the M25 for approximately 6.5 miles and look to leave the motorway at Junction 12 to join the M3 (signposted Basingstoke, Southampton). Drive for approximately 42 miles before leaving the M3 at Junction 14 (signposted Southampton) and follow signs for A33/City Centre to reach the centre of Southampton

To Birmingham (& the midlands/the north):
Depart Kings Cross Station via Euston Street and after passing St. Pancras Church take the right hand lane through the Euston Underpass following signs for the Ring Road. You will then pass Madame Tussauds on the right and just after this you’ll reach traffic lights where you branch left onto Old Maryleborne Road.

At the next traffic lights, go left onto Edgware Road following signs for Marble Arch and passing through Paddington and Bayswater. At Marble Arch, turn left and then keep in the right hand lane and then keep left to follow signs for the Ring Road S, Westminster. Next, you will pass the Grosvenor House Hotel and then take a left onto Hyde Park Corner, A4.

The A4 road will become the M4 Motorway and you should travel along this motorway (all the while following signs for The West) for approximately 10 miles when you will reach Junction 4b. Keep in the left hand lane to follow signs for Gatwick Airport and this will take you onto the M25 Motorway.

Travel along the M25 for 5 miles before exiting the motorway at Junction 16 (signposted Birmingham, Oxford) to then join the M40 Motorway. Drive along the M40 for almost 90 miles and continue forward to join the M42 Motorway (signposted The West).

Leave the M42 at Junction 3 (signposted Birmingham South, Redditch, Evesham) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit following signs for Birmingham City Centre. Continue to follow City Centre signs and after approximately 8 miles you will arrive in central Birmingham.
