Directions from London Heathrow AirportGetting to and from London Heathrow AirportLondon Heathrow Airport is situated just 15 miles (24km) west of London and is about 45 to 60 minutes from the centre of London by taking the M4/M25 motorways. Driving ToTo central London: If you are exiting Terminals 1, 2 and 3 follow exit signs to the access/exit tunnel and then follow signs to the M4 motorway. Terminal 4 is located on the main A30 road where the M4 is well signposted. The M4 will take you directly into central London. To Southampton (& the south): Leaving London Heathrow Airport, follow signs for the M4 Motorway (signposted The West/Gatwick Airport) and travel for approximately 1 mile before exiting at Junction 4B to join up with the M25. Continue along the M25 for approximately 6.5 miles and look to leave the motorway at Junction 12 to join the M3 (signposted Basingstoke, Southampton). |

Drive for approximately 42 miles before leaving the M3 at Junction 14 (signposted Southampton) and follow signs for A33/City Centre to reach the centre of Southampton Cardiff (& the west): Depart London Heathrow Airport by following signs for the M4 Motorway (signposted The West/Gatwick Airport). Continue along the M4 Motorway (following signs for South Wales) and after approximately 113 miles you will pass a toll booth, which after 10 miles leads you to the Brynglas Tunnel. Here, you should branch left onto the A48 (signposted Cardiff E and S) and continue along this road, following signs for Cardiff City Centre. Birmingham (& the north): Leave London Heathrow Airport via the exit road and follow signs for the M4 (The West/Gatwick Airport). Stay in the left hand lane and after 1 mile; leave the M4 at Junction 4b. Following signs for Watford, Oxford you will then join the M25 where you should travel for 5 miles before exiting the motorway at Junction 16 (signposted Birmingham, Oxford) to then join the M40 Motorway. Drive along the M40 for almost 90 miles and continue forward to join the M42 Motorway (signposted The West). Leave the M42 at Junction 3 (signposted Birmingham South, Redditch, Evesham) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit following signs for Birmingham City Centre. Continue to follow City Centre signs and after approximately 8 miles you will arrive in central Birmingham. Norwich (& the east): From London Heathrow Airport take the exit road and follow signs for the M4 (The West/Gatwick Airport). Stay in the left hand lane and after 1 mile; leave the M4 at Junction 4b. Following signs for Watford, Oxford you will then join the M25 where you should travel for approximately 43 miles before exiting the motorway at Junction 27 and following signs for Stansted Airport, Hounslow, Cambridge to join the M11 Motorway. Travel along the M11 for about 28 miles and then branch left at Junction 9 following signs for Newmarket, Norwich. The M11 Motorway will become the A11 and you should stay on the A11 for over 62 miles to enter the city of Norwich. Follow signs for City Centre to arrive in the centre of Norwich. | |||||
