Directions from London Gatwick AirportGetting to and from London Gatwick AirportLondon Gatwick Airport is situated south of central London and can be reached by taking the M25 Motorway (this acts as a ring road around London) and then taking the M23 Motorway. You will reach London Gatwick Airport by exiting at Junction 9. The airport is also connected to the A23, which is the main London to Brighton road. Driving ToTo central London: Leaving Gatwick Airport, take the Ring Road North and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M23 (signposted Brighton, London). You’ll come to another roundabout where you should take the 1st exit to join the M23 following signs for London. After about 7 miles you will come to Junction 8 where you go forward to stay on the M23 following signs for London and this motorway eventually becomes the A23 road. Stay on the A23 and continue to follow signs to Central London for about 14 miles. |

Look for signs to turn left onto the A203 and continue to follow signs for Central London to reach the centre of London. To Brighton (& the south coast): Depart London Gatwick Airport by taking the Ring Road North and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M23 (signposted Brighton, London). You’ll come to another roundabout where you should take the 2nd exit to join the M23 following signs for Brighton. After approximately 7 miles the M23 will become the A23 and you should continue on the A23 for about 20 miles and follow signs for Brighton to take you into the centre of the town. To Cardiff (& the west): Exit Gatwick Airport by taking the Ring Road North and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M23 (signposted Brighton, London). You’ll come to another roundabout where you should take the 1st exit to join the M23 following signs for London. After about 7 miles, exit the M23 at Junction 8 (signposted Heathrow) and stay in the left hand lane then bear left (signs for Heathrow Airport, Watford, Sutton) to join the M25 Motorway. Travel along the M25 for about 30 miles before exiting at Junction 15 to join the M4 Motorway, following signs for The West, Slough. Stay on the M4 and after around 99 miles you will arrive at Junction 20 where you should continue forward, following signs for South Wales. After travelling for about 10 miles you will reach a toll booth, which after another 10 miles leads you to the Brynglas Tunnel. Here, you should branch left onto the A48 (signposted Cardiff E and S) and continue along this road, following signs for Cardiff City Centre. To Birmingham (& the midlands/north): Leave Gatwick Airport by taking the Ring Road North and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M23 (signposted Brighton, London). You’ll come to another roundabout where you should take the 1st exit to join the M23 following signs for London. After about 7 miles, exit the M23 at Junction 8 (signposted Heathrow) and stay in the left hand lane then bear left (signs for Heathrow Airport, Watford, Sutton) to join the M25 Motorway. Travel along the M25 for about 33 miles before exiting at Junction 16 to join the M40 Motorway, following signs for Birmingham, Oxford. Travel on the M40 for almost 90 miles and continue forward to join the M42 Motorway (signposted The West). Leave the M42 at Junction 3 (signposted Birmingham South, Redditch, Evesham) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit following signs for Birmingham City Centre. Continue to follow City Centre signs and after approximately 8 miles you will arrive in central Birmingham. | |||||
