Directions from Glasgow Airport
Getting to and fromGlasgow Airport is situated 9 miles west of the city of Glasgow in Scotland. Leave Glasgow by taking the M8 Motorway and after about 5 miles exit at Junction 28 (signposted Glasgow Airport). Next, you will come to a roundabout where you take the 1st exit (signposted Glasgow Airport) to enter the town of Paisley. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and follow signs for Terminal Building. Driving ToTo Glasgow city centre: After leaving the motorway you will come to traffic signals where you should take a right turn onto Helen Street to enter the city of Glasgow. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit to reach Paisley Road West — A761 (signposted City Centre) and then simply continue to follow signs to reach Glasgow’s city centre. To Edinburgh: At this roundabout, take the 2nd exit to merge onto Glasgow Road — A8 road. Stay on the A8 by following signs for City Centre and after travelling a few miles (passing Edinburgh Zoo and Murrayfield Stadium) you will arrive in the centre of Edinburgh. To Fort William (& the Scottish Highlands/North): There is a toll booth at Erskine Bridge and after around half a mile you will enter Clydebank where you should branch left to merge onto Great Western Road — A82 road. Stay on the A82 road for over 92 miles (travelling through the mountains and over the summit of Rannoch Moor!) and keep following signs for Fort William to arrive in the picturesque town. To Stranraer (& the South of Scotland): The M77 will become the A77 and will take you into Kilmarnock where you follow signs for Ayr, Stranraer to keep you on the A77. Continue to stay on the A77 and 63 miles later, after passing through the towns of Ayr and Girvan you will arrive in Stranraer. |
