Driving to Blackpool

Driving From

From Manchester:
Leave Manchester city by the M-602 for 7 km and then taking exit 1 onto the ring road, following signs for Leeds. Continue along the ring road and as you approach Boothstown take a left turn onto the M-60.

Drive along the M-60 for 4 km and then take exit 15, following signs for Wigan, Bolton and Preston. As you approach Bolton take the M-61 and travel for 35 km and as you approach Preston join the M-6. Travel for 10 km along the M-6 before taking exit 32 and joining the M-55 motorway for 19 km.

Leave the M-55 by taking exit 4 towards Blackpool and Northshore and as you leave the motorway you approach a roundabout where you take the third exit onto the A-583. This road will lead you into the city of Blackpool.

From Liverpool:
Leave Liverpool by taking the A-59 for 2.5 km and as you approach Seaforth you’ll come to a roundabout where you take the first exit onto the A-5036. Follow the A-5036 in the direction of Southport, Ormskirk, Preston and Skelmersdale and then look to join the A-59.

Remain on the A-59 and as you approach Maghull, turn right onto the M-58 towards Preston and Skelmersdale. Drive for 19 km and as you approach Wigan you’ll come to a roundabout where you take the second exit onto the M-6 motorway. Travel along this motorway for 34 km and then take exit 32, following signs for Preston Garstang, Blackpool and Fleetwood.

This will lead you onto the M-55 motorway, which you travel along for 19 km before taking exit 4 towards Blackpool and Northshore. As you leave the motorway you’ll approach a roundabout where you take the third exit onto the A-583. This road will lead you into Blackpool city centre.

From Blackburn:
Leave Blackburn by taking the A-677 for 5.5 km and as you approach Preston you’ll come to a roundabout where you take the third exit onto the M-6 motorway. Travel for 7 km and then take exit 32 towards Preston Garstang, Blackpool and Fleetwood, which will take you onto the M-55 motorway.

Travel for 19 km before taking exit 4 towards Blackpool and Northshore. As you leave the motorway you’ll approach a roundabout where you take the third exit onto the A-583. This road will lead you into Blackpool city centre.
