Directions from Aberdeen Airport
Getting to and fromAberdeen Airport is located northwest of Aberdeen city on the A96, which is the main road from Aberdeen to Inverness. Leave Aberdeen by taking the A90 and at the great Northern Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A96 and follow signs for the airport. Driving ToTo Aberdeen city: To Glasgow: After about 65 miles you will pass through Dundee and a further 10 miles the A90 road will become the M90 Motorway. Travel along the M90 for about 2 miles (following signs for Glasgow) before reaching the Broxden Roundabout where you take the 1st exit to get onto the A9. Continue to follow signs for Glasgow along the A9 for around 27 miles and upon reaching Junction 9 go forward to get onto the M80 Motorway. After about 7 miles this motorway becomes the A80, which you stay on for over 10 miles, following signs for Glasgow, before reaching Crow Wood Motorway Terminal Roundabout. Here, you should take the 3rd exit onto the M80 Motorway (signposted City Centre) and travel on the M80 for 4 miles before joining the M8 Motorway. After about 1 mile, exit this motorway at Junction 15 to get onto the A803 road, which will take you into the centre of Glasgow city. To Fort William (& the Scottish Highlands): Drive along the A95 for approximately 46 miles (continuing to follow signs for Perth) and upon reaching the T-junction, take a left to get onto the A9 (signs for Perth). Continue on the A9 for about 13 miles and then branch left to reach another T-junction where you should turn right to get onto the A86 (signposted Fort William). Travel along the A86 for over 40 miles and upon reaching Spean Bridge you will come to T-junction where you turn left onto the A82. Stay on the A82 road for about 9 miles and you will reach the scenic town of Fort William. To Edinburgh: After about 65 miles you will pass through Dundee and a further 10 miles the A90 road will become the M90 Motorway. Travel along the M90 for about 16 miles when the motorway ends and becomes the A90 road again. Follow signs for Edinburgh; stay on the A90 for around 7 miles to enter the city of Edinburgh. You should continue to follow signs for City Centre and remain on the A90 to reach the centre of Edinburgh. |
