Getting to and from
Johannesburg International Airport sits astride a thick spaghetti network of criss-crossing highways leading either to Johannesburg, whose eastern suburbs are 15 minutes away, or Pretoria, about 25 minutes to the north.
Johannesburg International Airport can be reached from Johannesburg by taking the R24. If you are travelling from Pretoria the R21 will take you to the airport.
Driving To
To downtown Johannesburg:
Leave Johannesburg International Airport via the Interchange and follow signs for the R24. Travel on the R24 for over 13km and you join the Broadway Highway for 2.4km then pass through Broadway for 1.2km.
Next you will reach Kitchener Avenue and after 1km you will arrive onto Bezuidenhout Street for 1.8km. Then you will get onto Market Street at the end of this street turn left onto Betty Street, then take a right onto Commissioner Street to reach downtown Johannesburg.
