Driving to Auckland

From Wellington:
Depart Wellington via State Highway 1 to travel along the coast in a northerly direction through the towns of Paraparaumu and Mangaweka before arrinving in Taupo. From Taupo, continue along State Highway 1 through Atiamuri and onto Cambridge.

After arriving in Cambridge, remain on State Highway 1 to pass through Hamilton and then after about 127km you will arrive in Auckland city.

From Napier:
Leave Napier by taking State Highway 5 and travel through towns of Bay View, Te Haroto, and Iwitahi before arriving in Taupo after a distance of approximately 139km. From Taupo, take State Highway 1 northbound to the town of Cambridge and continue along State Highway 1 to Hamilton city. From Hamilton, stay on State Highway 1 for around 127km to reach the city of Auckland.

From Cambridge:
From Cambridge take State Highway 1, traveling northbound for 23km to reach the city of Hamilton. Continue along Highway 1 for approximately 127km and after passing through the wine region of Te Kauwhata, the market gardening area of Bombay and the scenic beauty of rural South Auckland you will arrive in Auckland city.
