Getting to and from Galway city
Galway city is situated on the west coast of Ireland and can reached via the N6 road.
Driving to Galway city
From Shannon Airport:
Leave Shannon Airport by taking the N19 and after driving about 2.5 miles to reach the Shannon Town Roundabout, take the 2nd exit to join the N18 and follow signs for Galway. Travel along the N18 for about 42 miles (passing through Ennis and Gort) and when you come to the village of Clarinbridge follow signs for Galway to join the N6.
Continue along the N6 for about 8 miles to reach Galway city.
From Westport:
Leave Westport by taking the R330 road and after reaching the town of Killavally take a right turn onto the N84 road. Travel along the N84 for almost 50 miles and after passing through the towns of Ballinrobe, Carrowkeel, Kilmaine, Shrule, Headford and Clonboo you will arrive in Galway city.
