Getting to and from

Driving To

To Lyon:
Lyon St Exupery Airport is situated just 16 km east of downtown Lyon. From the airport follow signs for the A-432 in the direction of Lyon. Travel along the A-432 for 8 km and after the toll booth head for the A-43/E-711 motorway. Follow the A-43/E-711 for 15 km before leaving the motorway by following signs for the D-41, called Avenue Jean Mermoz. This will lead you into the city of Lyon and as you enter, follow signs for the city centre.

To Geneva:
From the airport follow signs for the D-517E and travel along this road for 7 km. As you reach the roundabout take the third exit onto the A-432 for 9 km. Follow directions to Balan, Bourg-en-Bresse, Genève, Milan via the A-42/E-611 motorway.

After 40 km follow signs for Milan, Genève, Oyonnax and this should get you onto the A-40/E-21/E-62. Follow the A-40/E-21/E-62 for 79 km to the Swiss border.

After crossing the Swiss border follow the A-1/E-25/E-62 before leaving this road at Exit 1 in the direction of, Genève-Centre, La Praille, Carouge, Police, Perly, Plan-les-Ouates, Zone industrielle. This should get you onto the 1/A-1A, which you should follow, for 4 km before leaving the motorway in the direction of La Praille, Acacias. Follow the open road and as you enter the city of Genève follow the signs for the city centre.

To Grenoble:
From the airport follow signs for the A-432 in the direction of Lyon. Follow the A-432 for 8 km before exiting by heading for the Isle-d'Abeau (L'), Bourgoin-Jallieu, Chambéry, Grenoble. This should get you onto the A-43/E-70/E-711, which you should follow, for 27 km.

Next, head for the A-48 in the direction of Rives, Voiron, Grenoble for 57 km before leaving this road for the N-75 (called Place Aristide Briand). As you leave the motorway you will enter the city of Grenoble.

As you approach Saint-Priest follow the A-46/E-70 for 21 km, continuing to follow signs for St. Etienne. As you approach Vienne, take the A-47/E-70 for 29 km and then leave the motorway by following signs for the N-88/E-70. Travel along this road for 6 km, following directions to Saint-Etienne-Centres, Saint-Etienne-La Terrasse, Roanne, Clermont-Ferrand.

This will take you onto the N-488 and you should follow this road for 3 km to reach the city of St. Etienne.
