Montreal is Canada second largest city and is also the second largest French speaking city in the western world after Paris. The city became renowned as a party town ever since prohibition in the US caused many to travel north looking for entertainment. The city is also regarded as one of the most gay friendly cities in North America.
While you are visiting the city, don’t forget to visit such popular spots as the Basilique Notre-Dame, the Old Montreal and Old Port, St. Joseph's Oratory, the Olympic Stadium (from 1976), the Habitat 67 and much, much more.
