Why You Need To Book Car Hire Early In 2009

2009 has seen demand for car hire at an all time high. You may have bagged yourself a last minute flight and accommodation deal, but due to limited fleet sizes, car hire companies are struggling to keep up with demand – so you're unlikely to get a bargain if you wait until the last minute.

Why is this?

One of the reasons for smaller fleet sizes is the fallback in the car manufacturing industry.

Most people (around 70%) arrange their car hire within a month of the travel date – this is actually an increasing trend with many believing that the later they book the better the deal they get.

As a result, this year we're trying to encourage people, more than ever, to take advantage of any early booking discounts and sort out their car hire well in advance. And as well as cheaper prices you'll have more choice.

So our one and only bit of advice for 2009 is to book early and keep your costs down. Actually, you can check out what BBC News had to say on the subject recently.

We have over 4,000 pick up points worldwide. Book cheap car hire.
