Cultural Italy – Sana

With all this global warming going on, it seems we should probably be going Green and environmentally friendly. Well that’s what Bologna is doing with this annual fair of organic and eco-aware products. This event will be running mid-September so drop by if you are around.

Sana will be the 20th annual International Exhibition of Natural Products and will be held in Bologna from the 11th of September to the 14th. Each year the fair draws exhibitors from all over the world, with 45 countries being represented last year. Each of these countries has something distinctive to offer and many of these can beneficial elsewhere as well.

There are 3 essential sections to the programme of events: Food, Health and Environment. These events cover products previews, training events, other meetings and even events for kids who may need these skills in the future.

The Food programme gives evidence of how important food is in good living. Three areas of research: nutritional awareness, certificates of quality, organic products are at the centre of the 2008 survey by the Permanent Observatory on consumption directed by Giampaolo Fabris. An exhibition on the discovery of good food is the heart of this edition.

Being healthy is more than about looking good or living longer, it can also important in feeling good. The Sana fair has allied itself with UNIPRO (an Italian Association of Cosmetic Industries), so it hopes that it can effectively market its products to a wider audience and make being healthy a lot more popular.

The third area is Environment and in this category you can find a lot to learn about the latest trends, technology and innovations in products and services that promote sustainable growth while still providing a viable service.

How to get there: This fair is being held in Bologna which is located in the neck of Italy between the continental part of the country and the penisular part. If you are driving from Florence, Milan or Ancona, you can take the exit "BOLOGNA FIERA", directly from the A14 motorway.
