Car Hire: Petrol Prices In Malaysia, Thailand, Kenya, New Zealand & South Africa

Here we've got a guide to the price of petrol in Malaysia, Thailand, Kenya, New Zealand and South Africa - the rest of the places across the globe where we offer car hire.

We update these figure quarterly so you'll get a pretty good idea of what you're going to be paying if you hire a car in any of these countries. Handy info we think you'll agree - Check out our price table below:

COUNTRYLOCALCURRENCYLOCAL CURRENCY (PER LITRE OF PREMIUM UNLEADED)PRICE IN EUROS (PER LITRE OF PREMIUM UNLEADED)
MalaysiaMalaysian Ringgits1.920.42
New ZealandNZ Dollars1.710.92
ThailandThai Baht24.790.56
KenyaKenya Shillings79.990.87

You'll notice that we haven’t included the South African price of petrol. This is because the price is implemented every month by the state. This price is determined according to trends in international oil rates, South African currency performance and various other economic factors.

The South African Rand is the currency and when it comes to fuel, prices have a tendency to be similar to US pricing (about EUR0.61 per litre or USD2.482 per gallon). It’s worth bearing in mind that fuel is generally cheaper in the coastal areas…

These averages are approximate and have been taken from the Wikipedia website, with the exception of the Kenyan Price, sourced from
www.polarisinstitute.org.

Don't forget to check out the XE currency converter if you're not sure how much you'll be paying in your own currency...

We hope this has been useful to you and we'd be happy to answer any questions. Don't hesitate to drop us an email if you've anything you want to discuss... Drive safely!
